Shamsideen Ojelade is a postdoctoral fellow in the Laboratory for Integrative Functional Genomics. He received his Ph.D in Neuroscience (University of Texas-Southwestern) studying genes and neuro-circuits affecting the aversive and experience-dependent properties of alcohol using the fruit fly as a model. Currently, Shamsideen integrates both fruit fly and mouse genetic approaches to study the functions of genes implicated in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
